Guinea declared free of Ebola Virus- WHO

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has on Wednesday declared Guinea free from active Ebola virus transmission. This proclamation was made because the last person with the virus tested negative for te second time more than 42 days ago.

Guinea is believed to be where the world's worst Ebola outbreak occurred, spanning three countries primarily and killing about 11, 310 people.
