Wendy Williams breaks down in tears discussing relationship with her estranged husband

Wendy Williams is not having an easy time discussing her recent separation from Kevin Hunter.

While appearing on Sirius XM's "Karen Hunter Show" Tuesday, Williams attempted to share how her family is coping as they're "going through a situation." However, the star struggled with getting her words out.

When the host asked whether Williams had "changed out the credit cards and the bank accounts" to change her last name, the daytime television personality became emotional. 

"No, my name is Wendy Hunter," she said. "That's my son's name and you can't take away 20.... Don't make me cry," she muttered before telling host Karen Hunter "next," to move on to the following question.

Williams, who recently filed for divorce after her 21 years of marriage, shared that she is "happy, healthy and at peace with the world and everyone around [her]."

She choked up again before she could be asked about the "chance" of reconciliation. Williams quickly snapped, "No, don't ask! No!"

"Girl no," she continued. "I know what you're saying, but my family is good, and we'll always be family."

At the end of the clip, Williams looked at the audience, shaken up.

"What am I doing?" she said as her jaw dropped. "Ugh, just Wendy."

Despite the difficult situation, Williams is already back on her dating game. The TV host shared on her show in early July that she is dating a doctor in his 50s. 

“Well, I’m not on the market anymore,” she said. “I don’t know how I’m doing! I’m not in love, but there’s somebody that I’m crazy about.”

“It helps that he’s a doctor,” she continued. “I am not going to say one more word. You’re not going to blow this for me. But he’s been married, his kids are in their 20s. And yes, he’s black. I know you’re wondering.”
