EXCLUSIVE: Twilight's Taylor Lautner pleads to keep his clothes ON after playing Jacob

Culled from Express.co.uk

THERE was nothing Taylor Lautner wanted more than to keep his shirt firmly on in his first major role after starring in Twilight.

The hunk, who rose to fame as werewolf Jacob Black in the hugely-popular vampire franchise, admitted that it was a "relief" to remain clothed after five years of being permanently topless.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk about his new movie Tracers this week, the 23-year-old said he made sure he got his way when it came to the wardrobe.
Taylor revealed: "I remember having a conversation with the director before we started filming. I said, ‘Alright, unless it makes complete sense for the character to have his shirt off, then I’m going to keep my shirt on for the whole movie.'
"That was a great change [after Twilight]. It was a relief, for five years I had to deal with a character who loved taking his shirt off!"
Taylor, who starred alongside Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in Twilight, admitted that it had been a "challenge" to move out of the films' shadow.
"Anytime you’re part of a franchise that has that big of an effect on people, it’s definitely a challenge.
"You have to prove yourself as something different from that character. Thankfully me and my co-stars have been able to go off and do different things. I’m thankful to Twilight for that. Kristen is still one of my closest friends," he said.
On the appeal of Tracers' Cam - who gets into parkour while drowning in debt - Taylor said the physical element had been a major selling point.
He commented: "I knew the producers of the movie because we’d done the Twilight franchise together, and ever since doing that we wanted to find something else to do together.
