Women, Youths Hold Mega Rally For Buhari In Ebonyi

According to Leadership, Women and youths numbering over 5,000 yesterday staged a mega rally in support of the APC presidential flag bearer, General Muhammadu Buhari, and his running mate, Prof Yemi Osinbajo.

The rally took place simultaneously in Afikpo local government area and Abakaliki, the state capital.

They marched through the Ebonyi APC campaign headquarters along Old Enugu road through major streets in the two cities, chanting songs in support of the APC standard bearers.

Leader of the group that marched in Afikpo, Eluu Vincent, said they were in support of Buhari because of his stance on corruption.

He said, “Corruption is one of the banes of the country. The cankerworm has grown to an alarming proportion during the Jonathan administration and Nigerians are tired of it and want change”.

“The kind of change we want, only Buhari can guarantee us. He is a former governor, former minister and former president. In all these positions, he left with an enviable and unblemished record”.
