Woman kills man for assaulting her child; angry residents burn her house.

A Kenyan woman, who discovered a man sexually assaulting her 3-year-old daughter, is currently under police protection in a hospital. 

The woman, aged 35, attacked and killed the man in Kolong village, Nandi central. The man had previously assaulted the same child when she was two years old. Despite being mentally challenged, he was released by a court in Kapsabet. 

The villagers reacted strongly to the man's murder, assaulting the woman and setting fire to her houses and tea bushes. They also attacked police officers trying to rescue the woman. After a delay caused by an angry mob, the police removed the deceased's body from the scene. 

Although the woman is now considered a murder suspect, the focus is on her recovery from injuries inflicted by her neighbors. Her daughter is also receiving medical treatment for physical and emotional trauma, as well as tears in her private parts caused by the assault.
