NDLEA apprehends Lekki lawyer accused of manufacturing illicit substances.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a female lawyer named Ebikpolade Helen, based in Lekki, Lagos, for her alleged involvement in producing and distributing a mixture of cannabis, opioids, and black currant known as skuchies. 

The arrest of Ebikpolade Helen was made during a follow-up operation in Awka, Anambra State, after the agency had previously seized 5kg of cannabis and 12 bottles of prepared skuchies from her apartment in Lekki.

In addition to this, Abubakar Shuaibu was arrested on July 13th with 86 bottles of codeine-based cough syrup weighing 8.6 litres, while two other suspects named Razak Ogunbo and Adeola Idowu were apprehended on July 11th with 51 litres of skuchies in Ikorodu. 

Furthermore, a fleeing drug dealer's residence in Akala, Mushin, Lagos, was found to contain 372kg of cannabis sativa and 48 bottles of skuchies measuring 48 litres on July 12th.
