Young Boy and Rescuer swept To Death In Lagos
On saturday, in Aboru, the Lagos district of Alimosho, an unidentified 11-year-old boy was swept up next to Wasiu, who was trying to rescue him.
The NAN correspondent, who visited the accident scene, collected that two young men sent to purchase cooking gas in a gas station by their parents but unwittingly fell into a drain through which the water entered the canal.
"Three young men tried to rescue their boys and managed to rescue the older one, but the flood swept away one of the rescuer known popularly as Wasiu, when trying to rescue the other survivor," a witness told the NAN.
