Tina Knowles, Beyoncé's mother, has initiated divorce proceedings from her second husband, Richard Lawson, after eight years of marriage.

Tina Knowles, previously known as Celestine Lawson, has made the decision to end her marriage with actor Richard Lawson after eight years. Legal documents reveal that she filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. Interestingly, Tina is now seeking to revert to her original name, Celestine Knowles, after the divorce filing, which occurred on a Tuesday.

It's worth noting that Tina and Richard do not have any children together. However, Tina has two children from her previous marriage to Mathew Knowles: the renowned music icon Beyoncé, aged 41, and the talented singer and actress Solange, aged 37.

The news of Tina and Richard's divorce emerges during a period when Tina has not been publicly seen supporting Richard's latest film, Black Terror, during his appearances at events such as Essence Festival and Cannes Film Festival.

The couple, who had a history of knowing each other for many years, got married in 2015 on a yacht near Newport Beach, California, after dating for two years.
