Nigeria recall ambassador to south Africa

In the recent reaction to renewed xenophobic assaults on Nigerians in South Africa, Nigeria recalled its ambassador to South Africa, Kabir Bala.
In a sign of worsening diplomatic relations between the two nations, the Federal Government also pulled out of the World Economic Summit (WES) held in Cape Town, South Africa on Wednesday.
The move is viewed as the strongest by public critics since the attacks broke news.
Police have yet to identify what caused the violence that started on Sunday when demonstrators armed with improvised weapons roamed the business district of Pretoria's streets, pelting stores with rocks and petrol bombs, and running off with products.
