SAD!! Oride Operator Killed by a Truck in lagos
Yesterday's a cattle truck killed an ORide (OPay) operator at the Iyana-Itire bus stop on the Oshodi-Apapa highway.
The ORide operator whose name was given as Sikiru was hit from behind and dragged out of his moto-bike by a truck for several meters on a one-lane service road into the Cele express. The main toll road has been closed from the Toyota stop by HiTech Construction, which is rehabilitating the highway.
It was said that immediately after the accident occurred, the truck driver escaped from the scene. Police from the Ilasa police station chased the driver, who went to an area near Apapa, parked the truck and disappeared.
Sikiru fellow ORide operators said he has just gotten a new bicycle on Saturday and started operating on Wednesday, the day before his death. The company has been contacted in an effort to obtain its address and contact its family.
