TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Cote d’Ivoire 2023 Awards
The 34th edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations concluded with an exciting final at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, where Cote d’Ivoire clinched their third title against Nigeria. Simon Adingra, with two assists in the final, was named the TotalEnergies Man of the Match, while Nigerian captain William Troost-Ekong received the TotalEnergies Best Player award. Emilio Nsue Lopez from Equatorial Guinea won the PUMA Golden Boot for his five goals. Ronwen Williams of South Africa earned the Ecobank Best Goalkeeper title. Bafana Bafana also received the Fair Play Air Cote d’Ivoire Team award. Togolese football legend Emmanuel Adebayor presented the winner’s trophy to Cote d’Ivoire, with the CAF Flag officially handed over to the Royal Moroccan Federation for the 2026 tournament.
