During rush hour, a woman who was not wearing any clothes exited her car and began shooting on the Bay Bridge.
During rush hour on the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge in California, a strange and alarming incident occurred when a naked woman exited her car and began shooting a gun on Tuesday. The California Highway Patrol responded to a 911 call reporting that the woman had brandished a gun at another driver on the I-80 span, which crosses the San Francisco Bay, around 4:40 p.m.
The woman stopped her car in the middle of her lane, got out with a knife, and started yelling at other drivers. After getting back in the car and driving towards Oakland, she made another stop at a toll plaza, where she exited the vehicle, this time armed with a gun and still unclothed. She then began firing randomly at the occupied cars behind her.
In a shocking turn of events, she was captured on video firing her weapon into the air as officers arrived and managed to convince her to drop the gun without any incident. Remarkably, there were no reported injuries, but the motive behind her actions remains unclear.
Authorities placed the unnamed woman on a mental health hold at a local hospital, and she is expected to face unspecified charges upon her release. The eastbound section of the bridge was closed for over an hour, causing residual delays throughout the evening.
