At least 38 children dead and others abducted in attack on Uganda school by Isis-linked group


 Local authorities report that a rebel group with ties to ISIS carried out an assault on a school in Uganda's Kasese district, near the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. 


Sadly, the attack resulted in the deaths of at least 38 students and three adults from the Lhubiriha school.


According to Fred Enanga, a spokesperson for the national police, the assailants set fire to a dormitory and stole food from the school's supplies.


Major General Dick Olum of the Ugandan army informed the media that some of the children were killed through burning or hacking, while a significant number of female students were taken captive by the group.


The incident occurred on Friday night, and initially, the number of casualties was reported as 25. However, officials later revealed on Saturday that 41 bodies, including 38 schoolchildren, had been found.one guard and two members of the local community who were shot outside the school.
