EFCC arrests 94 ‘Yahoo boys’ at Osogbo nightclub
The Ibadan Zonal Office of Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC) released on Monday that it raided a nightclub located in Osogbo known as the "Yahoo's" nightclubs for alleged internet fraudsters.
The raid led to the arrest of 94 suspects and the confiscation of 19 cars, computers, mobile phones, and other products, according to Wilson Uwujaren, the agency's spokesman. A statement on Monday.
The club is situated on the Ibadan-Iwo Expressway of the state capital of Osun, which is popularly known as the Club Secret Underground.
The raid early in the day, Mr. Uwujaren said, was a sequel to an intelligence report suggesting that the Internet defrauders had arranged a Sunday night party for some of them to celebrate their loots. Sunday, 13 October.
