Boniface Igbeneghu Of UNILAG Attempts Suicide Over Sex For Grade Scandal
BBC Africa Eye has released a documentary on Monday aiming at teachers in some universities in West Africa who target their pupils for sex in exchange for grades. BBC Africa Eye sent out a masked reporter and portrayed Kiki Mordi as students in Lagos and the Univerity of Ghana, after having collected hundreds of testimonies from female students.
Dr Boniface Igbeneghu, a senior lecturer and pastor in the Foursquare Gospel Church at UNILAG, caused a major lift to social media after a tape was gotten by a journalist who posed as a 17-year-old minor in school sought admission.
A close friend of his family has reported the lecturer was admitted to the hospital after he drank rat poison in the effort to kill himself. The social media attacks were on his account when users of social media destroyed his facebook page with all kinds of language against Boniface.
