Woman assaulted by Prophet during spiritual cleansing.
A prophet recognized as David Daniel had been detained in Lagos supposedly for attacking a trader after claiming that the Lord had sent Him to her.
On 17 September, Joy Muriyaro, the alleged victim, brought the matter to the Ejigbo Police Station. According to a statement made available by the spokesperson of Lagos police command, he said Bala Elkana said, he saw in a vision that the woman had a spiritual problem and that she would grow fibroid in the womb in the future.
Mr. Elkana said, that afterwards he gathered N3,500 money and a jar of perfume valued N1000.
The lady said that the accused accompanied her to her room and instructed her to take off her clothes as he rob anointing oil on her buttocks, she became suspicious he he started to masturbating as he robbed the anointing oil on her buttocks,'
The police stated that "the accused was detained and brought before the tribunal for indecency of the attack and was held in Kirikiri Prison."
