What Happened To Chris Hemsworth?

This is definitely not the Chris we know! Doesn't look anything like the Thor we crushed on!  Not does he look like he can ever raise the scared god's hammer! Check this out...

This is the  new Chris Hemsworth! See how he looks now and please compare to his previous photos.  I thought throwback pictures were meant to be less attractive than the present?

Well,  Chris has been working on a new project. It's a movie.
Chris withstood a gruelling diet of just 500 calories a day in preparation for his new movie In the 'Heart of the Sea'. Aman of his physique is recommended to consume between 2,000 and 3,000 calories a day as part of a healthy lifestyle.

The film is based on an 1820 incident when a whaling crew were said to have been stranded at sea for 90 days after a sperm whale destroyed their ship - and which inspired Herman Melville’s novel
Chris, 32, who plays crew member Owen Chase, posted the pic on Instagram with the caption: "Just tried a new diet/training program called "Lost At Sea". Wouldn't recommend it "

Posing in character, his wild hair and beard and simulated deep sunburn are at odds with the hotel room - and especially the MacBook behind , he resembles Tom Hanks in his legendary role as Chuck Noland in Castaway.

We've seen this look before...
Australian Avengers star Chris looks far away from his days playing Thor - but with another film planned in that franchise, we're sure he'll already be putting away the steaks in preparation. He revealed that he shed a lot of that Thor weight for thriller Black Hat then an extra 15 pounds for Ron Howard's In the Heart of the Sea. He said :

"When you’re already starting off lean, its brutal to chew through that kind of weight, every pound feels like a kilogram".

Also starring Cillian Murphy, In the Heart of the Sea opens in the UK on Boxing Day.
