PRESIDENT BUHARI FIRES AND REPLACES COMPTROLLER GENERAL OF IMMIGRATION

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari

has appointed Muhammed Babandede as

the new interim Comptroller General of

the Nigerian Immigration Service.

Babandede replaces Martins Abeshi who

was appointed August last year and held

the position for only 6 days before being

fired.

Abeshi, in a letter signed by the Minister
of Interior, Lt-Gen. Abdulrahman
Dambazau(rtd), was asked to proceed for
his retirement and handover to
Babandede.
Sources claimed the former CG was
removed for immediately employing his
family members, including wife and son
into the service shortly after his
appointment.
