Owner of Integrated Oil & Gas Services Ltd and Genesis Worldwide
Shipping, Captain Emmanuel Iheanacho, is investing in the Nigerian
volatile aviation sector.
The master mariner, who is also a former
minister of interior under the Goodluck Jonathan administration said
shortly before inspecting the newly arrived Airbus helicopter H175 at
the Murtala Mohammed Airport that his aviation company, Genesis Aviation
Services would cater for the oil and gas industry.
He disclosed
that the company has begun building a heliport in Apapa and that very
soon the helicopter service company would begin operation, adding that
the aviation firm has been in plan for over one year now, with his six
helicopter fleet in Warri currently going through certification
processes.
He also spoke about a refinery being built by his company in Apapa,
maintaining that it was time ofr Nigerian investors to deepen local
investment to create more values locally.
“Our heliport is being
located in Apapa; it is in a unique place. We have embarked on all these
things to help the economy. We are constantly looking to create value
locally. It is not sufficient for Nigerian businessmen to be happy
buying and selling goods and services that are produced by other people.
We want to produce original value.”
