Nigeria’s Collette Nwadike wins Face of the Universe Beauty Pageant




Collete Nwadike from Nigeria has been crowned Exquisite Face of the Universe 2015.
In a keenly contested beauty pageant competition held Wednesday night 9th December in Sao Tome & Principe, Nwadike made history as the first ever black queen to take the crown.
She beat Miss Germany who was the first runner up; Miss Angola was the second runner up; Miss Aruba becomes the third runner up and the host country participant, Miss Sao Tome & Principe was the fourth runner up. Nwadike succeed Susan Castano from Dominican Republic.

The top 10 finalists are USA, Brazil, Sudan, Nigeria, Germany, Cape Verde, Ghana, Angola, Aruba and Sao Tome & Principe.

“It’s like a dream come true. I’ve always dreamed of winning an international pageant and here I am, living my dream. I thank God for making this possible. I thank my ever supportive family,” elated Nwadike said.
Nwadike, who had earlier won the award for “Best Evening Gown”, put up a stellar performance to outshine other gorgeous contestants from various countries of the world.

“It’s like a dream come true. I’ve always dreamed of winning an international pageant and here I am, living my dream. I thank God for making this possible. I thank my ever supportive family,” elated Nwadike said.
The new Universe beauty queen gave special thanks to her groomer/national director, Tomi Lydia Salami, whom she said left no stone unturned in preparing her for this pageant.

Speaking on their experience in Sao Tome & Principle, Salami said it has been a phenomenal couple of weeks for #TeamNigeria and everyone involved in the Face of the Universe 2015 world finals.Also she thanked Rikaoto and BiBiyonce, her custome designer. She also appreciates the officials of the Nigerian Embassy to Sao Tome & Principe and the Nigerian Community in Sao Tome.

“From courtesy visits to media tours; enjoying the fantastic cuisine to exploring the beautiful island of Sao Tome and even a four-day extension of the delegates’ stay courtesy of the Prime Minister. It certainly has been a blessing and it was worth every minute spent promoting beauty, goodwill, culture and tourism,” Salami said.
She added that Nwadike will spend her reign promoting charitable causes, tourism and goodwill around the world with special focus on Africa.
