Ministerial List: screening starts Oct. 13
Senate President, Bukola Saraki has assured that the Senate will do a thorough screening of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial nominees, when it resumes for plenary, on Tuesday (today).
This is however, against the old norm where ministerial nominees were usually not thoroughly screened by the Red Chamber, but were asked to ‘take a bow and go’ during screening exercises.
Saraki who was responding to a question posed to him on Twitter by citizen Omah Chijindu @omah_chijindu said Nigerians should nurse no fear about the screening exercise.
Chijindu asked: “Senate President Bukola Saraki, as your supporters, all we are waiting for is how Buhari’s ministerial nominees will be screened. We want to see a perfect work, no party issue.”
However, responding, Saraki via his handle @bukolasaraki said: “Count on it.”
