According to Leadership newspaper, A member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and a leader of the party in the South East geo-political zone, Gen J.O.J. Okoloagu (Rtd) has appealed to Nigerians of Igbo extraction to exercise patience with the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari as he is committed to treating all Nigerians equally irrespective of sex, religion and ethnicity.
Okoloagu who made the appeal in a press conference addressed in Abuja on Monday, said that President Buhari’s every move is towards making Nigeria great again as he needs the corporation of every Nigerian to drive his objectives home.
He said, “On the future appointments, I am assuring Ndigbo as an old associate of Buhari that he will do the needful to carry everybody along because the three key assignments he has given to himself, he can’t accomplish them without the collaboration of every Nigerian.
“Before he makes appointment to his key ministries, the South East or Southern Nigeria will be in a position to know whether he is interested in marginalising them or not. We should also not forget that board of grade parastatals which make money for Nigeriahas not been constituted. When done, it will be filled by Nigerians.
According to him, the ministry of foreign affairs is very important to Buhari and he has not appointed his ambassadors, adding that anybody without integrity should not expect anything from Buhari because he does not compromise on discipline, integrity and self- capabilities.
Continuing, the soldier turned politician who was speaking on the recent appointments made by the present administration and the controversy it generated, also admonished Buhari to declare a marshal plan for the all- round development of the region, which he said, should be based on three cardinal points.
