Explosion at Petrol Station in Ghana Leaves Scores Dead
An explosion at a petrol
station in Accra, Ghana, has left at least 7o people dead and about a dozen
people injured.
According to Al Jazeera, most of the victims
had sought shelter at the station due to heavy rain.
Sources say the blast was
an accident which was probably linked to the torrential rain.
“This is a very busy area
of Accra. Lots of people. Lots of car traffic. And because of the heavy rains
people gathered at this gas station to seek shelter and this explosion
happened,” Al Jazeera correspondent, Boateng said.
