'Half-tonne killer' Mayra Rosales loses 362kg

The woman dubbed the "half-tonne killer" for falsely claiming she killed her nephew is making headlines again after losing 362 kilogramsMayra Rosales, from Texas, was 470kg in 2008 when she told police she crushed her two-year-old nephew to death.
She was acquitted at her 2011 trial after it was found the child died of head injuries, which was inconsistent with Rosales' explanation of events.
It then emerged she confessed to cover for her sister, Jamie, and because she felt her life was already over with her weight-related issues.
"I was dying. I don't know if you had seen pictures before you could see it in my face. I had given up in life," Rosales told ABC 13.
"I was alive but not living a life."
Her sister eventually confessed to the crime and is serving 15 years in prison.
After her acquittal, Rosales was determined to turn her life around and lose some of her weight.
What has happened since has been nothing short of remarkable.
She has lost 362kg through 11 surgeries - including a lap band procedure and numerous skin removal surgeries - and diet. She still wants to lose another 15kg.
